New will be the so-called "Widgets" in Windows Mobile 6.5. Those who have WM 6.5 on his HTC Touch Diamond 2 installed via cooked ROM can also very easily make your own create simple widgets. Second, you download TD2BlogWidget.wgt and copies the file to the \\ My Documents \\ of the device (not on the memory card). On the device even you open the file and follow the installation instructions. After installation, you then can find the "TD2 blog" icon on the home of WM 6.5.
How to create now a widget to display as the eBay site?
The easiest way is if you take the widget for this blog as a template and modified accordingly. First, to rename the file to TD2BlogWidget.wgt in TD2BlogWidget.zip and extracted the 3 files containing:
config.xml
widget.hm
icon.png
First open config.xml with eg Notepad editor and change the file as follows:
Second, to edit the file with Notepad editor widget.htm :
Last but not least, the file to load ebay_icon.png (that contains the icon logo) and then packed down all 3 files config.xml , widget.hm and ebay_icon.png together into one. zip file, for example eBay.zip. Then you can call the file in eBay.wgt and copied it to the device. There, as usual, install and run, you've got too an eBay Widget on his HTC Touch Diamond 2 / O2 XDA2 / MDA Compact V.
